Just like the instrument panel on an aeroplane – there will be a number of key dials that you will need to constantly monitor for efficient and effective running of your business – have you clearly defined what you need to monitor and which key performance indicators are crucial:

  • Sales and quotations
  • Profitability
  • Sales pipeline
  • Costs and purchases
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Cash flow
  • Staff performance

Be sure that you have worked out what you need to be measuring.  No one likes surprises – efficient back office systems are crucial to the smooth running of the business.
