The Driving Force

To achieve success through following your passion, you need to realise that this is a personal journey and that only you can make it happen. You will enlist the help of other key people along the way to help drive you forward, but you will be the primary force. As such it’s vital that you take full responsibility for your actions and pursue goals with a focus and energy that is linked directly to your passion for the things you love doing.

There are three key factors that will determine your level of success, and how you are progressing towards your vision, and they rely on you personally: purpose, action and mental strength.

The purpose of what you are trying to achieve (and why) must be clear to you. It becomes both a driver and a motivator for your life and ambitions. Having a sense of purpose enables you to enjoy sustainable personal growth. It provides the source of energy for action planning and, more importantly, what needs to be done!

Without action nothing happens. All too often individuals become frustrated by a lack of progression towards their goals – the main cause of this is inactivity. Take action and then observe your ideas, aspirations, strengths and weaknesses. Ne sure not to only listen and observe, but also reason from the feedback received.

Mental strength keeps you going when you feel like giving up. Knowing what you want from your life and career is a critical ingredient of the Success Factor. Your mental toughness will be the acid test as to whether the goals you have set yourself are truly what you want. If you want success, you will keep going no matter what has been thrown in your way.

You need to stay focused on performing well in all three areas to progress as quickly as possible to realising your dream.

Life is a PROMISE; fulfill it
